My name is Susan Hemphill and I am
a small breeder/exhibitor located in the
foothills of the Rocky Mountains in
Colorful Colorado. I am dedicated to
preserving the breed standard and
only raise AKC registered Chihuahuas.
My ultimate goal is to develop a quality
line of exceptional dogs with emphasis
on sound structure, temperament and
type. Shiloh Acres breeding program is planned to capture the best qualities of each dam/sire and much care is taken to preserve those desirable traits. The best results of the breedings are retained for the show ring and may eventually be entered into my breeding program.

Not all puppies are show quality, but each and every single one of them make wonderful pets and life long companions. They are loving and very loyal to their humans. I do have puppies for sale from time to time and you can always see them on the Available Puppies page. Puppies cannot leave here for their new homes until they are at least 10 weeks old. Some of the smaller pups are kept longer to ensure their health and eating habits before going to a new home. All puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee, vaccinations and wormings. From time to time, I also sell pet quality pups for a friend of mine, Mary Spear of Spear’s Chihuahuas.

A note about TEACUP: This term is used for marketing purposes only in order to convince you that there is something more “special” about the puppy so that you are willing to pay more. In fact, the more tiny the pup, the more risk there is for a health problem. Teacup is not an official Chihuahua category, period. There only two categories: smooth coats and long coats. There are extremely tiny Chihuahuas and exceptionally large Chihuahuas. The breed standard calls for a maximum adult weight of 6 lbs. Don’t be fooled by marketing ploys!! Take time to read and educate yourself before purchasing.

All puppies are sold to pet homes with AKC limited registration and a spay/neuter contract. Spaying or neutering is more healthy for them. If you are a breeder and desire a quality pup for your breeding program or you are an exhibitor in search of your next champion, please contact me. I had difficulty getting started when the show breeders with the best quality dogs wouldn’t sell me a puppy because I had not exhibited before. I will not follow that example and am more than happy to help any one get started as long as you are willing to read, read, read and read some more to educate yourself.

I accept a nonrefundable $150 deposit to hold a particular pup and will ship a puppy within the contiguous Unites States for the actual cost. If you use PayPal, I require that you add a 4% handling fee on top of the purchase price or deposit.
